Baptism, Confirmation, and Reception

You may take the step to join the whole of the Episcopal denomination in one of these three ways. Please email Shana Halpin, the Director of Children, Youth, & Family Ministries for more information on dates and processes.

Baptism

Never been baptized? We’d love to offer this sacrament to you—we have several dates throughout the year in which baptism is part of the 10:30am or 6pm services. Upcoming dates: 5/19/24, 11/3/2024, and 1/12/2025.

Adult candidates and parents wishing to have their child baptized should complete and submit a Baptism Application Form at least one month prior to your preferred baptism date.

Confirmation

The rite of confirmation is for those who have been baptized in another denomination but would like to become Episcopalian or a reaffirmation for those baptized as a child. Confirmation is offered when the Bishop visits our parish, or annually at a Diocese-wide service at Trinity Cathedral in Phoenix.

Adult candidates and parents wishing to have their child confirmed should complete and submit a Confirmation/Reception Application Form.

Reception

If you’ve already been baptized and confirmed in another denomination and would like to become Episcopalian, the Bishop will receive you into the church at the same service in which she provides Confirmation. 

Candidates for reception should complete and submit a Confirmation/ Reception Application Form.
