Turn to God in Prayer
In all things, turn to God in prayer. Our nation has stretched itself to the point of fraying again. And all I have to say is that we are not a partisan institution, except that we are on the side of God’s Kingdom. We are for the children of the Living God who has given us his own life in Christ and called us to carry his Light in this world of darkness.
Rejoice in that light when you can.
Turn to God in prayer in all things. Whether you are rejoicing this week or grieving, whether gathering with tears or coming home in song, pray before God honestly and humbly and then go out and love somebody in his name.
Do what Christ tells you to do. Abstain from sin, especially pride, and do that which causes others to have joy. This is a time that calls for discipline. Be strong in faith, unwavering in hope, and zealous to do good works.
Our world, our nation, our families all need us to be rooted in Christ and reaching outward in compassion. I don’t know how you can do that without time in the deep soil of God attached to the vine of Christ.
Join us as we see where God will take us next.
