Welcome to Christ Church of the Ascension
We are a traditional Episcopal Church founded in 1963, tucked into the slopes of the Phoenix Mountains in Paradise Valley, Arizona. Christ Church is committed to being a place where people of all ages are formed into disciples of Christ and find a sense of home at both altar and table; where Scripture is read, studied, and honored; and where those in need find prayer and assistance, forgiveness and health. We are friends and strangers, made a family in Christ. We are both deeply reverent and quick to laugh.
Know: Faith & Learning
Faith begins at home. Our ministries are built to equip individuals and families to study, worship, and serve together. Children are a vital part of our life as a church. We have a place for your whole family here.
Love: Worship With Us
Loving Christ. Our life is centered on Sundays at Christ Church with beautiful worship offered to a loving God whose people find voice in traditional music, joyful liturgy, and the Word spoken with authority, grace, and humor.
God is Mission. The life of Jesus demonstrates how: loving God and loving our neighbors as ourselves. Join us in loving our neighbors both near and far in our ministries of mission to the community and world.
Christ Church is a community, a family of faithful people who are seeking to Know, Love, and Serve Christ in All. Join us. We are eager to welcome you.
Christ Church School
Christ Church School is a major way that we impact our world for Christ, by loving each child as a child of God and forming their whole being, body, mind, heart, and soul.
This is where you learn about how we are learning to Know, Love, and Serve Christ. Here is where you find sermons and service opportunities, news and events.
