fellowshipFellowship

Christ Church of the Ascension offers many opportunities for fellowship.  We hold Sunday coffee hour after the 8am and 10:15am services each week and parishioners take turns hosting.  The sign-up sheet is on display in the parish hall after services each week.  We also have a Greeters ministry, which seeks to welcome Sunday visitors into the life of our community.  Please contact the church office if you feel called to participate in this important ministry.

We hold a regular Newcomer’s Breakfast, where new members of our parish family and others interested in our church come together for a relaxing time of interaction with each other and the parish clergy.  We also have an annual Advent dinner, which is a highly anticipated time to come together before Christmas.  Each October we host a fun-filled evening of gourmet food called A Taste of Paradise, which raises money for mission and outreach.  On our patronal festival, the Ascension of Our Lord, we host an annual parish supper; similar events occur for other festivals of the Church year as announced.

Book Club

bookclub

The Christ Church Book Club usually meets the second Monday of every month at 1:30 pm in the breezeway conference room. Please check the bulletin or the calendar for any date changes. The club reads one book each month chosen from a wide range of contemporary literature and non-fiction.  Discusions are lively and always help us to broaden our understanding of the books.  If you like reading books please join our group.  It’s a great way to get to know other church members.
